Here is what some of Cheri's past clients have said about their work together:
“In the 6 years we've been working together, with one of those years being from abroad, Cheri has been a constant partner in my fitness and wellness. Together we collaborate on my program as she acknowledges and respects my expertise of living within my body, while I benefit from her coaching, training, creativity and intuitiveness. Together we approach the neurological issues of my 30 year post-stroke body with interest, curiosity and humor. Cheri encourages a team approach including and contacting my other practitioners when necessary. What separates Cheri's approach from all my other physical therapists or personal trainers is her unique ability to integrate fitness and functional fitness, with neuro re-patterning and strength building which historically, in my case, have been divided into separate professions. Cheri motivates and inspires me to believe in myself and my body. Cheri knows that fitness takes both physical and emotional expressions, that through our hard work together my body can become stronger to where I feel more confident and empowered. I wish she had been around when I first had my stroke”.

“I'm a 69 year-old woman who is both a Type 2 diabetic and a breast cancer survivor. Cheri is my "summer" trainer and her work with me far exceeds that of my Atlanta trainers. I wanted to strengthen my core and improve my stamina, both of which Cheri has helped me do. An added benefit has been the increased flexibility and mobility of my pectoral muscles which had been scarred from surgery. Cheri used assisted stretching to really increase my range of motion. She has given me a written workout to share with my other trainers to help them follow in the direction we are going. My increased stamina has made it easier to exercise, thus lowering my blood sugar. Best of all for someone who hates to work out, every session is different, fun and gives me a real sense of accomplishment”.
Virginia, Retired/Estes Park, (Diabetes and Breast Cancer)
“I have been working with Cheri for 3 years. I was excited to get someone of her quality to help me begin my recovery to good health. I had just finished a year long battle with colon cancer which included surgery, and a 6 month regimen of chemotherapy. I wanted someone who was experienced in working with people like myself and that understood what I had been through and had the knowledge to help me get my strength back. We began slow at first… over a short time..I began to gain not only my strength but also my balance. In my past life, working out was boring and time consuming. During our 3 years together Cheri has created a great deal of variety that helps keep the regimen from becoming repetitive and always with an explanation of what was are doing and how it was going to benefit me. Because of the popularity of health clubs and the large number of individual trainers, I can tell you that I am very happy and privileged to work with someone like Cheri, that not only has the experience and the passion but also the interest in each person she is working with. If you are thinking about getting started to a better and healthier life or like me trying to regain your health, I don’t believe you could find anyone better than Cheri”.

“Cheri became my trainer 15 years ago. I was riding Dressage and wanted to maintain a stable posture on my horse. I am now in my 70's, I continue to ride trail horses and work on my farm of 40 years in complete confidence. Cheri has allowed me to maintain a very active lifestyle and a positive mental attitude. I have experienced first hand her professional journey upward. My sessions always vary and, if need be, we address a physical problem and work to resolve the issue immediately. At present, we are rehabilitating an old injury that was not strengthened properly at the time. I am stronger and in better condition than I was years ago. I am grateful for Cheri's expertise every day as I continue an interesting and active lifestyle.”
Sarah, Agricultural Engineer and retired dressage rider/Hygiene
“I first worked with Cheri 10 years ago, as an athlete who had broken her elbow in a cycling accident. I went through prescribed short-term outpatient therapy, met my goals, and was released to self-treat. As an Occupational Therapist I felt like I could carry on with the knowledge I had, to work on my range of motion and strength. But, as I was unable to participate in the activities I loved (volleyball, softball, cycling), I felt a deep loss of fitness and my usual ease of movement. Cheri met with me for an initial consultation, took me outside to a park and evaluated me from the inside out, noted the subtle imbalances in my body and established a balance, strength, and conditioning program that was focused on my whole being not just my right elbow. And it was hard...and fun! From then on, wherever I'm exercising, I have her voice in my head reminding me to focus on the process not just the product”.

“I have co-treated special needs adolescents, of varying functionality, with Cheri for 5+ years. She always brings her gift of intuition to our treatment plans. Our clients LOVE her! She puts them at ease and inspires them to do their best. The kids ask about her long after their sessions. Cheri is a true professional and it is always a pleasure to work with her.”
Harriet, Behavioral therapist
“I have had the opportunity to collaborate with Cheri professionally, to address the health and wellness, needs of clients with chronic and complex medical histories such as stroke (CVA), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), diabetes and multiple joint replacements. She is able to choreograph a balanced, achievable fitness program totally individualized to a client's lifestyle needs which may simply be to have the endurance to attend a grandson's graduation. And as a teammate, she can deftly translate functional goals into muscle and movement-specific activities with clear and obvious positive results”.
Naomi, Occupational and Massage Therapist/Boulder
“I have worked with Cheri off and on over the last 15 years. When we started I owned a business, was overweight by 40 lbs and unable to get to the gym....Cheri offered to come to my office and my home to work with me...She was a "goddess-send". She not only provided me with workout skills and ethics but nutrition assistance as well. With her help and encouragement I was able to reach my goals. She made me regain confidence along with strength in myself. When I go to the gym now I always hear her in my ear encouraging me to ‘Work just a bit harder-To go that extra mile-Don't coast but pedal, pedal, pedal!’. I could probably go on about the virtues of Cheri ...but one last comment on her dedication. When I left Colorado for a time being she provided me with 5 sheets for 5 days of exercising. Each sheet had a day's workout schedule - noting sets and equipment setting - along with pictures of me doing each exercise – that, to me, goes above and beyond the role of a trainer. I know that I can pick up a phone from any place in the world and she is there for me. She does this because she cares about my success. Knowing her has improved the quality of my life and when you work with her - she will show you her consideration, caring and kindness as well. She will empower you to succeed. She will provide you with tools to carry you through a lifetime of strength and insight. I love her - she is the best!”
Annabelle, Business Owner/Boulder
“I have been working with Cheri for over a dozen years, and there's a reason! In that time, I have had several surgeries, and each time, Cheri has helped me come back stronger than ever. She is the consummate professional. She has expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, contemporary trends in physical therapy, and the latest in fitness routines. She approaches each client with respect, and has a keen sense of how to tailor a workout to individual needs and goals. I really feel at Cheri cares about my health. She is a great listener, and picks up on non verbal cues that I may not ever be aware of. In sum, working with Cheri has not only made me healthier and stronger, but happier as well. I have a challenging job with an aggressive travel schedule, and heavy family commitments. Working with Cheri helps me meet these challenges, knowing that I'm at my best”.
Veronica, Scientist/Boulder
“I could never have imagined—or hoped for—the amazing results that have come from working with Cheri over the years. Combining her knowledge, experience, professionalism, and warmth, she has helped me to hugely change in a positive way not only my fitness level, bone density and appearance, but also (and perhaps the bigger challenge) how I feel about my body. In a word, Cheri is outstanding!”
Sandra, CEO/Boulder (Osteoporosis and Breast Cancer)
“I have been working with Cheri for 3 years and my outlook on exercise has changed completely as a result- now I see it as a way of life, for the rest of my life. Cheri has both challenged and empowered me to take charge of my own health issues which result from an anatomical imbalance and are exacerbated by my occupation. She has helped me inhabit my body in a different way: I feel more alert, have more energy, sleep better, enjoy sex more and am more balanced. Friends and family compliment me on how I look but I think what they see is someone who is stronger and more confident. Cheri’s sense of humour, intuitiveness and sensitivity have helped me achieve that.
I see Cheri as an educator, an activist and a community builder, her passion for helping everyone, regardless of physical limitations, access the benefits that come with exercise comes through everything she does, including her philanthropy work and it’s important to me to know that. Cheri takes (calculated) risks without ever compromising my safety, her independence allows her to be creative to a degree that astonishes me (from building equipment adapted to my body to working out without any at all!), she perseveres where others say they can’t help, and she never promises quick fixes or magical pills. She goes out of her way to explore all options and remove barriers, whether physical or emotional.
I haven’t met a doctor or therapist with the ability to recommend long-term benefits of exercise or where to start, nor a personal trainer with anywhere near the medical knowledge, nor the slow, measured approach that Cheri has- she really fills a hole. Cheri has an inordinate degree of respect for her clients and I know from a few others who work with her that she builds trusting and empowering relationships not only with them but their families, carers and other therapists. I hope I still have a long life ahead of me, I am looking forward to one where I will rely less on medication and more on myself.”
